In 2026, with solid-state battery technology advancing rapidly in the automotive sector and sodium-ion entering mass production for consumer electronics, the charging best practices for tablets are evolving, and three common mistakes deserve particular attention. Mistake one: using the wrong charger. Many tablet owners continue using the low-power charger that came with their phone, not realizing that tablets typically require 20 to 45 watts for optimal charging speed. Using an underpowered charger does not damage the battery, but it dramatically extends charging time, which leads to mistake two: charging overnight out of necessity because daytime charging is too slow. With GaN chargers now compact and affordable, there is no reason not to have a dedicated high-power tablet charger at every charging location.
